“We valued God more than our reverence for the earth.”

p.9
We valued science more than our reverence for God. We valued God more than our reverence for the earth. We allowed, somewhere in our history, there to be an “our God” and “their God.” Losing, somewhere along the way, our understanding of the relationship between our minds and the reality we create. The connection between the two. We replaced—took for granted— the beauty of our Garden exploiting it for money. Maybe our God, Jesus, should have been a little clearer in his preaching of Love— angelically loving thy earth and animals more than money.
