“Each layer a timeline.”

p.45
Imagery of all events occurring simultaneously—time experienced not in sequence, but in transparent layers stacked atop one another. Each layer a timeline. Each focus a destination. Like a DVD laser, zooming in to an experience of events. Majically, mystically—as if someone (or something) had plowed through the walls of his consciousness—the thought had finally come to him. The thought that would change forever for himself, and unbeknownst to himself at this time, or anytime for that matter, for the rest of the world.
